Seasonal Gardening Information for June

  • We are hopefully now moving into the warmer season, fingers crossed!  Keep your pots and baskets well watered, with the warmer weather I'm hoping for, these can quickly struggle without a good drink.
  • Your lawn will need more regular mowing this time of year.  Left too long causes a horrible yellow look to the grass when it is cut rather than the lush green you are looking for.
  • Light pruning of Rhododendrons can be done now after flowering, a more severe prune should be left until the following early spring.
  • Ensure newly planted trees and shrubs do not dry out.
