Seasonal Gardening Information for July

  • Keep dead-heading your flowers to ensure continuous flowering for as long as possible.
  • Don't forget the birds, leave out plenty of drinking water for our feathered friends, they are also great to encourage into the garden to deal with any unwanted caterpillars, slugs and bugs.
  • Whilst the weather is dry (hopefully!), give woodwork a lick of paint or preserver.
  • As we are getting into the warmer season the heat can cause the grass to go brown.  Try mulching the grass.  A mulching mower cuts the grass very finely and blows the cuttings back into the lower layers of turf preventing it looking unsightly, this will help retain moisture and assist in keeping the grass greener.
